Blogger - A free generic platform that is so easy to navigate. A google account is enough to get your own blog space here. Blogger is free of Ads and it is a free service. I am using it for the past two years and found it awesome. A own domain name i.e yournameblog.com can also be purchased and hosted at free of cost n blogger.
Wordpress - It is equally used by many users like blogger. It comes in two variations, one can be found at wordpress.org and the other one at wordpress.com. First know the difference between the two. Unlike Blogger it sometimes shows some ads relevant to your blog and they claim it to run the platform successfully and it charges $10/year to host your own domain name for your blog. It is as easy as blogger. Wordpress is widely used by corporates.
