New Microsoft Products - Really Stunning to Use

Microsoft Products are not my favorite until recent times. There are several reasons behind this.

1. Their applications like MSN messenger, Hotmail, including their website were very slow in response and look very complicated.

2. Applications consumes huge memory spaces and not robust

3. Not Trendy

But things have changed in the past 1 year.

A. Windows Live Essentials 2011 - They came up with a great communication system Windows Live Essentials 2011. Wow! It is really a great application which integrates your IM, Social media communities like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, MySpace, etc. Photo Sharing - Flicker. Blogs - Blogger, Wordpress, Type pad, etc. I have to tell you that it has an amazing user interface, pretty quick. I can rate it 4/5

B. Microsoft Office 2010 - What a great product? You must look at the Microsoft Outlook and how it is designed and how robust it is. It is really quick, sophisticated. Word is another asset - They have numerous developer tools included in this version and then lot of predefined templates like Greeting Cards, Proposals, Contracts, etc. I haven't quite used the other tools yet. I can rate it 5/5.

c. Internet Explorer 9 - Most of these days my favorite browsers were Mozilla and Safari. But in quite recent weeks, I'm experiencing a lot of crashes in my Mozilla and Safari is not great for downloads since it is getting failed in the midway or crashes in the end.
I am using IE right from IE5 and it was the only browser i knew that time. Later when I started using Mozilla, Opera, Chrome, I felt IE sucks, it is slow, tab browsing is pathetic, etc.
Now this IE9 Beta which I'm using has a lot of improvement from it is predecessor IE8. It is quick, quite good interface, auto-complete features, security, useful add-ons, etc. It is a really good to see that Microsoft is really focusing a great in the browser Market. I am pretty sure that IE10 probably be very competitive with its counterparts. Rating - 3/5

d. Bing - Who says Microsoft is not in the Search Engine Market? Probably they might have discontinued the Internet Search Advertising, but their Bing is surely the next best SE to Google. 4/5

e. Windows Phone 7 - One of my favorite mobile OS. There are several reasons; I am using Windows right from my computer days. Who wouldn't love if your phone also functions similar to your PC or Laptop? The applications like Mobile Office, Outlook, Mobile IE, Navigations for touch phones, etc is really awesome. Give a try with HTC HD7. 4/5

f. Windows 7 - I am using this one for the past 6 Months. But i already tried during the beta launch. This is surely a great relief for Microsoft itself since Vista didn't reach the people as expected. Vista had several flaws and I need to write a separate post for that too. But this Windows 7 OS really changed my day-to-day PC operations. It made my life easy. It is quick, secured, easy to use, Navigations is fantastic, Useful Gadgets, etc. It all makes Windows 7 an undisputed King of the OS market now. 5/5.

g. Windows Live Mail - It is a really a cool, sophisticated, simple, easy to use, desktop email client. I am using my Hotmail with Live Mail. It is similar to Outlook. Just fantastic. 5/5

So, overall Microsoft is coming in strongly and answering their rivals with their products. We can expect few more stunning applications in the line. Stay Tuned and give a try to all these.
