What is Web 3.0 / Future of Internet / End of web 2.0

Since 2005, the invention of web 2.0 is ruling the Internet world. In 2008 despite of recession people started to invest more on web 2.0 to make their website/portal rich and gives a great experience to its users. From what I have understood, the ages of static pages and presenting a set of information in a web using HTML has ended in 2001. People started to expect far more from the internet when its use increased after the DOT COM boom. And the web 2.0 exactly gave that freedom to interact with people and gave access to the dynamic user generated information. This was made possible by social network giants like MySpace then Facebook and then Orkut, LinkedIn and we can list a lot. The second thing was blogs, I have wondered what is there to share my views in web and who will come and read it. But the web 2.0 made it possible. The ages searching for information just through directories with static links like Yahoo, MSN have vanished after the web 2.0.
Now people can ask what else going to come in the world of Internet. Don't be worried!! Lot of programmers and business entrepreneurs are investing a lot in semantic web. Internet may have all the data and can give any information but it can work only with the direction human. The vision of making the computers to understand and work, find, give information without the intervention of human is Semantic Web. That is not so far. Because we are seeing the improvement in live through the projects like iGoogle, netVibes, etc. These portals are comprised of drag and drop widgets, customizable website pages according the user's taste. These are the development steps that would make us to think that the world experiencing web 3.0 in near future without any doubt. Still many people wonder whether it is possible. Internet has changed the whole view of Humans about communications and Internet in a very short span of time (I can say in the past 30 years). The development and successful rate is in exponential. Let us not deviate from the Topic, The era of Computers making intelligent searches and work is Web 3.0. The web is going to be portable and focused on individuals rather than a sector or group, intelligent searches, mid blowing graphical experience (May be a 3D web),etc.

The researches that are going in fields, Human-Computer Interaction, Machine Learning and AI will enable a much faster Internet which can suggest or give information about anything we want based on the its intelligence. Let us wait for it and see what it gives.
