Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai founded a new social networking site in the name
Foursquare. Foursquare is second edition of Social Networking site based on location. Dennis earlier founded a similar kind of platform called Dodgeball which is later acquired by Google in 2005. Google shutdown its operation of Dodgeball in 2009. Later Dennis completed Foursquare, which is the complete edition of how he wanted to see Dodgeball. It is a new way for you and your friends to explore your city. You can upload status, share information where you're currently at, etc. Foursquare has tied up with a lot of restaurants, Cinema Halls, Museum, etc. So check Foursquare before you visit a place, because you never know that you might have special offer. It works based on the GPS. Even if your mobile doesn't have GPS, you can use Foursquare via text message. Currently it works with iPhone, Blackberry, Palm OS, Android platforms. It works very simple, explore, earn points, get exclusive offers. So just give a try.
